The £50,000 that Kamara paid for the tricky former Everton winger represents the former City manager's shrudest signing. After signing for City under a cloud of legal action Peter started the 1997-98 season in fine form but injuries and a loan spell at Everton negated his effect.
The start of his 1998 season showed his flair and an eye for goal that spurred City's drive up the table, punctated with his famous post goal acrobatics.

While at Manchester City Peter was famous for not getting the ball- much to the irritation of the Maine Road crowd.

Peter is a creative winger of a type not often seen in the modern game. He is left footed but can play down either flank. It is worth reflecting on the general lack of creativity of England teams while Peter was in the top flight and his lack of full international caps.
