Lee Mills

Lee Mills

Signed by: Paul Jewell
From: John Rudge (Port Vale)
Cost: £1,000,000

Paul Jewell raised eyebrows in Bradford when he made Lee Mills City's first million pound player but the tall Yorkshire man soon proved his worth and was soon voted third in the Nationwide player of the month poll for October.

Lee's first goal of two he grabbed against his former club Port Vale in a 4-0 hammering at Valley Parade in October 1998 must have been sweet for him, especially as the Vale fans had just being singing "What a waste of money", a song taken up in jest by some of the Bradford crowd

Forward Lee Mills is strong in the air and makes excellent runs in and around the box to support his strike partner and bring other players into attacking positions.
